PERN (Parents in Education
Research Networks)
The Parents in Education Research Network (PERN) is a network of
individuals and organisations concerned with the promotion,
dissemination and application of research about the participation and
effects of parents, families and carers in the education of children -
in the home, in the school, in the community and more widely.
PERN aims to:
- provide an exchange of information
- provide a forum for discussion
- encourage new research in the field (including
collaborative research)
- publish selected findings
- promote the effective use of findings
- influence policy makers
- interact with other organisations concerned
with research about Parents in Education
- work with European partners as the English
language
network affiliated to ERNAPE (the European Research Network About
Parents in Education).
