Gill Crozier

Gill Crozier is Professor of Education, Assistant Dean Research at Roehampton University , London . From September 2000 to November 2008 she was Professor of Education and Head of Research in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of Sunderland . She is a Sociologist of Education and her work has focused on ‘race' and its intersection with social class and gender. She has researched extensively on parents and schools and is also concerned with education policy, and issues of identities and the socio-cultural influences upon identity formation. S he is currently principal investigator on the ESRC/TLRP project: The Socio-Cultural and Learning Experiences of Working Class Students in Higher Education (RES-139-25-0208) and co-applicant on the ESRC Identities, Educational Choices and the White Urban Middle Classes ( RES -148-25-0023) project. She also recently directed a two year ESRC funded research project (R000239671) Parents, Students and the School Experience: Asian Families' Perspectives.
