15 th INTERNATIONAL ROUNDTABLE ON

Taking Stock: Research, Policy, Results, and Next Steps

Denver, Colorado

Friday, April 30, 2010

Dear Colleagues:

The International Network of Scholars (INET) is an informal group of over 400 scholars
from more than 40 nations who are studying topics of school, family, and community partnerships.

Every other year, members of INET convene at the start of the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) to report their work on family and community involvement, share ideas, identify next steps, and renew friendships.

The 15th International Roundtable on School, Family, and Community Partnerships
will be held Friday, April 30th in Denver, Colorado (location to be announced).
As a member of INET, you are invited to submit a proposal for presentation at the Roundtable.  Attached is the Call for Papers.

This year’s 15th anniversary conference will invite INET members and other
researchers and education program evaluators to report research
on creating
programs of family and community involvement, strengthening family support for
students’ education, improving achievement and behavior results for students,
advancing quantitative and qualitative methods of research on partnerships, assessing governmental policies to promote family and community involvement,
and related topics.  This INET also will be a critical point in
time to take stock of the state-of-the-field of research and policy on partnerships
and to look ahead to potentially new roles and structures of INET in future conferences.

The deadline for PROPOSALS is Friday, January 15, 2010.
All communications for the Roundtable will be by e-mail.

Please feel free to share the information about the Roundtable and INET with other colleagues who are studying school, family, and community partnerships.   You also may request an INET membership form by e-mail so that you are listed for future communications about U.S. and ERNAPE meetings.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you in Denver in the spring!

 Sincerely,

Joyce L. Epstein & Frances L. Van Voorhis
